YMCA Bass Coast FReeZA Events

The FReeZA program funds providers (local groups) to sponsor a FReeZA Committee of young people to run local drug, smoke and alcohol-free live band and dance parties and cultural events for people aged 12 to 25.

FReeZA is all about youth participation. The Government and local communities have met in partnership to provide young people across the State with a range of opportunities to get involved.

In 2008, there was a network of 78 FReeZA Committees in metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria who have run over 450 events with an attendance of over 100,000 young people in over 110 venues over the State.
